Psalms 93:3

Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof. the fulness...: or, all it containeth

The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid. ungodly men: Heb. Belial

[To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, A Psalm of David.] Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul. I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. deep mire: Heb. the mire of depth deep waters: Heb. depth of waters

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. the fulness...: or, all it containeth Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together

And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! multitude: or, noise mighty: or, many The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. a rolling...: or, thistledown

For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof. raiseth: Heb. maketh to stand They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.

Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul: Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
