Psalms 91:5

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword. power: Heb. hands Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh. from...: or, when the tongue scourgeth At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth. For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; midst...: Heb. heart of the seas

Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.

[A Psalm of David.] The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. came...: Heb. approached against me Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? thy...: Gr. do they require thy soul

They all hold swords, being expert in war: every man hath his sword upon his thigh because of fear in the night.
