Psalms 45:5

For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.

God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.

All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them. shalt thou...: or, thou shalt set them as a butt back: Heb. shoulder

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.

Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee. submit...: or, yield feigned obedience: Heb. lie All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them.
