Psalms 31:3

Moreover thou leddest them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. green...: Heb. pastures of tender grass still...: Heb. waters of quietness He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. wicked...: Heb. way of pain, or, grief

For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy great name?

The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. my strength: Heb. my rock

For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.

Yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light, and the way wherein they should go.

To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went. Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
