Psalms 25:7

[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.] Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth.

His bones are full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust.

We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.

Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth. Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house: Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel: Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger; thy wealth: Heb. thy strength And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed, And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof; And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me! I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.

And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. And their: some copies have, Then he said, And their Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
