Psalms 136:23

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;

He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.

For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left. power: Heb. hand

Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity. brought...: or, impoverished, or, weakened Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry: And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.

I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck. And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head. forehead: Heb. nose Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.

The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.

He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.

For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper. He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy. He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.

The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up. He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them.
