Psalms 13:3

In their heat I will make their feasts, and I will make them drunken, that they may rejoice, and sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the LORD.

And now for a little space grace hath been shewed from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage. space: Heb. moment a nail: or, a pin: that is, a constant and sure abode

RESH. Consider mine affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law.

But Jonathan heard not when his father charged the people with the oath: wherefore he put forth the end of the rod that was in his hand, and dipped it in an honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his eyes were enlightened.

Then said Jonathan, My father hath troubled the land: see, I pray you, how mine eyes have been enlightened, because I tasted a little of this honey.

Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:

Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. he: or, it

Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred. cruel...: Heb. hatred of violence

A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities;
