Proverbs 10:27

For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. long...: Heb. years of life

It shall be accomplished before his time, and his branch shall not be green. accomplished: or, cut off He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall cast off his flower as the olive.

For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.

But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee. bloody...: Heb. men of bloods and deceit shall...: Heb. shall not half their days

But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? thy...: Gr. do they require thy soul

He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.

As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool. sitteth...: or, gathereth young which she hath not brought forth

Be not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish: why shouldest thou die before thy time? before...: Heb. not in thy time?

Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have trodden? Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood: whose...: Heb. a flood was poured upon their foundation

With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. long...: Heb. length of days

Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD. What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
