Luke 16:16

But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet. For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. suffereth...: or, is gotten by force, and they that thrust men For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.

And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet. This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he. And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.

If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.
