John 19:11

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. ordained: or, ordered

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. to preserve...: Heb. to put for you a remnant So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. receive: or, take unto himself

Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. whom: Gr. him

God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God. power: or, strength

There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?

What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.
