Job 33:28

Let the stars of the twilight thereof be dark; let it look for light, but have none; neither let it see the dawning of the day: the dawning...: Heb. the eyelids of the morning

Yea, his soul draweth near unto the grave, and his life to the destroyers.

Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

Or as an hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants which never saw light.

They shall go down to the bars of the pit, when our rest together is in the dust.

Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back. for peace...: or, on my peace came great bitterness thou hast in...: Heb. thou hast loved my soul from the pit For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.

He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword. from perishing: Heb. from passing

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
