Job 19:10

The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree.

My days are past, my purposes are broken off, even the thoughts of my heart. the thoughts: Heb. the possessions

So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

And where is now my hope? as for my hope, who shall see it?

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; in despair: or, altogether without help, or, means Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

The Lord was as an enemy: he hath swallowed up Israel, he hath swallowed up all her palaces: he hath destroyed his strong holds, and hath increased in the daughter of Judah mourning and lamentation. But unto thee have I cried, O LORD; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee. LORD, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me? I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: while I suffer thy terrors I am distracted. Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off.
