Job 11:15

For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.

[A Psalm of David.] The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

If I be wicked, woe unto me; and if I be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I am full of confusion; therefore see thou mine affliction;

But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. assure: Gr. persuade For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments. I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. thy...: Heb. judgments of thy righteousness

In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.

I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
