Hosea 7:1

By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood. blood: Heb. bloods

O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away. goodness: or, mercy, or, kindness

Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, and is polluted with blood. polluted: or, cunning for And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness. by...: Heb. with one shoulder, or, to Shechem lewdness: or, enormity I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom of Ephraim, Israel is defiled.

Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast thee off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency?

Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine! overcome: Heb. broken

Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.
