Hebrews 3:7

For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: provocation: Heb. contention When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest. that...: Heb. if they enter into my rest

While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.

To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.
