Galatians 1:10

But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.

Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. labour: or, endeavour For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?

But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:

Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. is born: or, has been born

And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
