Exodus 34:9

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:

For the LORD'S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance. lot: Heb. cord

He gave his people over also unto the sword; and was wroth with his inheritance.

Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever. feed: or, rule

For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.

The portion of Jacob is not like them: for he is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: The LORD of hosts is his name.

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth. And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.

For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.
