Daniel 2:12

Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king.

Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.

Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. full: Chaldee, filled

The fear of a king is as the roaring of a lion: whoso provoketh him to anger sinneth against his own soul.

The king's wrath is as the roaring of a lion; but his favour is as dew upon the grass.

The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill. cut...: Chaldee, made pieces

But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Raca: that is, Vain fellow

The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it.

Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,

A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool's wrath is heavier than them both. heavy: Heb. heaviness Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy? Wrath...: Heb. Wrath is cruelty, and anger an overflowing envy: or, jealousy?

For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one. envy: or, indignation

An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.
