Acts 2:47

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.

For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.

And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. stature: or, age

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.

And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them. And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)

And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded blinded: or, hardened

But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, love: or, pity Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
