2 Kings 11:2

And he said unto me, This chamber, whose prospect is toward the south, is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the house. charge: or, ward, or, ordinance

And in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being then king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah began to reign. began...: Heb. reigned

There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.

Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.

Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all. And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.

Go unto the house of the Rechabites, and speak unto them, and bring them into the house of the LORD, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.

Seven years old was Jehoash when he began to reign.

Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children. light: Heb. candle, or, lamp

Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal: vex: or, waken Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.

But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king's sons that were slain, and put him and his nurse in a bedchamber. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest, (for she was the sister of Ahaziah,) hid him from Athaliah, so that she slew him not. Jehoshabeath: also called, Jehosheba

And then he built chambers against all the house, five cubits high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.

For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel; David...: Heb. There shall not be cut off from David
