1 Kings 10:8

Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. that getteth...: Heb. that draweth out understanding For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.

Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and hear thy wisdom. Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee to set thee on his throne, to be king for the LORD thy God: because thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he thee king over them, to do judgment and justice.

And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. destroyed: Heb. broken

The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom. of wisdom: Heb. of heart

But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
